S.E.A. Aquarium welcomes 10 millionth visitor

The S.E.A. Aquarium reached a new milestone on 27 March 2017 – welcoming its 10 millionth visitor. The Aquarium was opened in November 2012.

The lucky 10 millionth visitor was 38-year-old Samuel Ang. The Singaporean was there with his wife Claire and 13-month-old daughter Beatrice, on their third visit to the Aquarium.

They were welcomed with a special hamper, a S.E.A. Aquarium annual pass each, and a personal meet-and-greet with beloved mascot Mai the manta ray.

“Our baby girl just turned 13 months yesterday and we wanted to go somewhere memorable today. And it so happens that her favourite animals are manta rays and baby sharks,” said Mr Ang.

“Now that we have our annual passes, we will definitely be visiting the aquarium more often. I hope to see more exotic species in the future.”

To celebrate this milestone, children visiting the S.E.A. Aquarium till 9 April 2017 with a day ticket will be upgraded to a child annual pass (worth $68) for free. Available to all children aged 4 to 12 years old who are residents of Singapore.

Children with annual passes get free entry throughout the year, as well as benefits such as the new S.E.A.A. Explorer programme. Get a kit with hands-on tools to become a junior explorer of the ocean world. Throughout the year, they can also look forward to events in the Aquarium such as educational board games with prizes to be won (in fact, there’s a Spin & Win station up from 31 March to 2 April).

It’s timely to visit with the family now (and score free upgrades to child annual pass), plus watch the kids have a whale of a time as they learn about marine life.
