S.E.A. Aquarium took ocean conservation to Bishan East-Thomson

Text by Edmund Lim, Director of Education at S.E.A. Aquarium

As part of our ongoing effort to engage and educate the public on marine animals and ocean conservation, S.E.A. Aquarium participated in the Children’s Day Carnival at Bishan on 8 October 2016, to reach out to the residents of Bishan East-Thomson.

The highlight of our booth was our large touchpool where the hands-on interaction with sea stars, sea cucumbers, bamboo sharks and horseshoe crabs thrilled both children and adults alike.

Through our engagement with the various communities, we hope more people will appreciate the importance and beauty of our ocean and marine animals.
