The vast oceans and its captivating marine creatures have always intrigued us. We studied it, we dive into it, and we debate at great lengths over it. While we can’t claim to know everything about it, we can aspire to inspire people to not just care for, but to protect our ocean planet through education, research and exploration.
And that is the mission of the Sea Research Foundation, which in collaboration with Resorts World, will jointly develop a marine environmental curriculum for students in Southeast Asia.
President and CEO of Sea Research Foundation Steve Coan was at Resorts World recently to discuss the collaboration between the two parties on education programmes for the upcoming Marine Life Park. Here’s what he had to say about what the programmes can achieve.
“The concern for conservation, education and research, and a real interest in helping people around the world explore and understand the ocean environments are values that I would say is most important.” – Dr Steve Coan.
