Dive Photography Contest: Winners announced

As part of our World Oceans Day celebration, S.E.A. Aquarium organised a Dive Photography Contest where we invited diver-photographers to submit their favourite underwater shots of marine animals.

We received more than 70 submissions on our S.E.A. Aquarium Society Facebook Group. After evaluation by our panel of judges, which included Terry Garcia, former Chief Science and Exploration Officer of National Geographic Society and advisor to S.E.A. Aquarium Society, here are the winners.

1st prize: Ryan Koh

Ryan Koh: Shrimp with egg. Click here to read about the story behind his winning picture and what inspired him to pick up scuba diving.

2nd prize: Michael Smith

Michael Smith: Every shrimp has a dive buddy.

3rd prize: Elaine Lee

Elaine Lee: Nudibranch

People’s Choice Award: Kevin McLoughlin

Kevin McLoughlin: Golden Cuttlefish
“This cute little fella is a golden cuttlefish and is on the IUCN red list of threatened species. One thing that threatens them is the abundance of plastic trash that enters our oceans on a daily basis. You can see some here in the background.”

Congratulations to all winners. Please send us a private message via our Resorts World at Sentosa Facebook page with your name, NRIC and email for prize collection details.
