Resorts World Sentosa Education Team launched free lesson plans at Early Childhood Conference

The Early Childhood Conference is an annual event where preschool educators from around Singapore gather to pick up practical strategies and activities to support and guide young children’s learning, development and well-being.

This year, Resorts World Sentosa was again one of the event exhibitors where our education team had a booth and presented our Lesson Plans on the central stage.

Downloadable Lesson Plans

These lesson plans are designed to complement educational programmes at S.E.A. Aquarium and The Maritime Experiential Museum to enhance the students’ learning experience on-site, as well as boost knowledge retention after their trip. Here’s what the lesson plans comprise and their corresponding download links:

S.E.A. Aquarium Lesson Plan

  • Storybook created by S.E.A. Aquarium’s Education Team: Follow Mai through the ocean to visit her friends, and learn about reducing the usage of plastic bags and saying no to sharks fin
  • Stick puppets of characters in the book
  • Plastic trash cut outs
  • Ocean Clean Up Data Collection Form
  • Follow-up activity (Ocean Clean Up) where students can pick ‘trash’ out and jot down the data on the Ocean Clean Up Data Collection Form

The Maritime Experiential Museum Lesson Plan

  • Storybook created by S.E.A. Aquarium’s Education Team: Follow the four explorers on a journey across the sea where they will discover different items around the world and meet a storm along the way!
  • Stick puppets of the four explorers
  • Labelled parts of a ship
  • Colouring page
  • Follow-up activity to create ships so as to help save the explorers from the stranded island
