Discover a treasure trove of navigation tools, such as this Astrolabe which was used to measure time, the movement of stars, geographical locations and vertical angles.
The Jewel of Muscat which was constructed the traditional way without nails or screws. It made a tumultuous 138-day voyage from Oman to Singapore in 2010 using ancient navigational methods with a crew of 15.

With the reopening of the Maritime Experiential Museum, we are rolling out new educational programmes that complement the Ministry of Education’s Social Studies (Primary) syllabus and History syllabus. Students will gain a better appreciation of social, historical and cultural issues that they are inquiring into from an authentic Field-based Learning experience at the museum.

If you are a primary or secondary school educator, come join us for an exclusive programme preview where you will also learn about our special promotional rates for 2018, and go on a tour of the museum.
