First educator preview of Captains of the Sea and Museum Treasure Hunters

On 14 September 2018, The Maritime Experiential Museum held its first educator preview for our newly developed pre-school educational programmes – Captains of the Sea and Museum Treasure Hunters.

15 pre-school teachers from various pre-schools and child care centres attended the preview.

Gavin Lee, Senior Manager of Education, introduced the key learning points of both pre-school programmes.
Joyce Tan, an Executive from the Education team presented and explained the use of the puzzle boards in both programmes.
During the coffee break, educators were free to browse through the props that our educational facilitators will be using with the children during the programmes.

After the break, educators got a first-hand experience of both our programmes, where our educational facilitators simulated what the students will go through.

During the guided tour through the museum, our facilitators provided a sneak peek of the information that will be relayed to the students. They also demonstrated the use of props to engage students on the programme.
