Auspicious fish hunt, underwater dragon dance and more at Gong Sea Fa Cai

The Chinese believe that fish and water are symbols of luck and prosperity. So what better way to celebrate Lunar New Year than at S.E.A. Aquarium where we have lined up a host of interactive fun for the whole family. Here’s what you can look forward to at our Lunar New Year event Gong Sea Fa Cai.

Trail of the Rooster (Hogfish)

Abalones are a popular delicacy among Chinese, especially during Lunar New Year. But do you know that some species of this gourmet mollusc are threatened with extinction?

Go on this interactive trail to learn more about abalones and other threatened sea creatures such as manta rays and our star animal – the Rooster Hogfish – named for its pig-like snout and large protractile mouth.

The Rooster Hogfish can open its mouth even wider than this!

Before you head off to the 7 stations, pick up a fan map featuring the animals you need to search for.

You’ll find a fan, like the one below, at each station. Answer a question or complete a simple task at each station to get a stamp.
