At our final reef cleanup of the year on 24 November 2018, Guardians of the S.E.A.A. cleared 38kg of marine trash from the waters around Pulau Hantu Kechil. The 18 public divers and 7 S.E.A. Aquarium staff divers picked up what was mostly glass bottles (31 pcs) and plastic fragments (17 pcs) over 2 dives, each lasting about 50 minutes.
In line with our mission to save the ocean, our lunch was packed in a biodegradable paper box and wooden utensils were used instead of plastic ones.
Our heartfelt thanks to all members for participating in Guardians of the S.E.A.A. events over the past year. Do look out for more events in the coming year and we hope to see you again soon.
Healthy ocean, healthy us!
