[CONTEST] Be a Junior Maritime Explorer and star in a National Geographic video

Calling all aspiring TV reporters age 7 to 12 years! Here’s your chance to be a star reporter and the voice of maritime adventures. National Geographic, in partnership with Maritime Experiential Museum, is looking for a Junior Maritime Explorer.

Not only will you get to flex your journalistic muscles, you’ll also get to meet and interview National Geographic Explorer Erika Bergman, bring her on a tour of the Maritime Experiential Museum, and be featured in a National Geographic video along with Erika!

Here’s how you can make your dream come true:

Step 1
Play the role of a star reporter on TV. This is an individual contest – there can only be ONE Junior Maritime Explorer.

Step 2
Submit a short news-report-style video on a maritime event, or even on the Maritime Experiential Museum itself. The video should not exceed 90 seconds. Not sure where to start? Check out the Maritime Experiential Museum.

Here at the museum, you can join four legendary seafarers – Marco Polo, Sang Nila Utama, Ibn Battuta and Zheng He – on an adventure along the Maritime Silk Route. From state-of-the-art visual projections and multimedia shows to olfactory and hands-on experiences, you’ll find plenty of inspiration for your winning video.

Step 3
Upload your video online (e.g. Youtube or Facebook). Remember to set it to public so that anyone can view your video, including our judges.
