S.E.A. Aquarium turns 4

Home to more than 100,000 marine animals from more than 800 species, S.E.A. Aquarium celebrates its 4th birthday this November. Here are some highlights of our journey.

S.E.A. Aquarium milestones 22 November 2012: S.E.A. Aquarium opens to the public for the first time at 10am.
S.E.A. Aquarium milestones April 2013: Received Guinness World Records for the World’s Largest Aquarium by total water volume. The Aquarium holds more than 42.8 million litres of fresh and salt water – enough to fill over 17 Olympic-size swimming pools. Read more
S.E.A. Aquarium milestones July 2013: Welcomed our 1,000,000th visitor, less than 8 months after opening.
 S.E.A. Aquarium milestones July 2014: S.E.A. Aquarium was #7 in TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice 2014 for Top Aquariums in Asia.
S.E.A. Aquarium milestones September 2014: The Aquarium received the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) accreditation – an acknowledgement that our facilities meet the highest standards. Read more
S.E.A. Aquarium milestones July 2015: Named 2nd Aquarium in Asia at the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice 2015.
S.E.A. Aquarium milestones April 2016: More than 500 marine babies from about 10 species were born or hatched between October 2015 and April 2016. Among them was the world’s first shark ray pup successfully born and raised under human care. Read more
