The symposium participants, from Singapore polytechnics, Millennia Institute and secondary schools, including an international school, spent four hours with panel presenters from S.E.A. Aquarium, and keynote speakers David Emmett (Senior Vice President of Conservation International) and Kelvin Ng (Regional Director of Marine Stewardship Council (Asia-Pacific)).

The session discussed international perspectives on caring for our oceans, current and future efforts and how they can be done through sustainable practices.

The symposium ended with a tour through the S.E.A. Aquarium, conducted by student volunteers from Nanyang Polytechnic.
