Go Blue with RWS – Bluub’s 5 favourite moments | S.E.A. Aquarium, Dolphin Island blog

In June, we invited you to Go Blue with RWS. Our new friend Bluub helped to spread the conservation message that land and oceans are interconnected, and every little action counts in protecting Mother Nature. We asked the friendly little creature what his favourite moments of the month-long campaign were.

“I didn’t know my name was that difficult to pronounce!”

Bluub: “Before I made my appearance in the resort, guests were asked to guess how my name was pronounced, and what I looked like. Some interesting responses here, but kudos to the Adventure Cove Waterpark guest who commented that I like to help nature.”

“Who’s falling asleep first? Me or the giant manta ray?”

Bluub: “I joined over 60 children at the Marine Life Park Ocean Sleepover on 3 June, and boy, I still can’t get over the fact that I was one of the first to sleep in the world’s largest aquarium. Most importantly, new friendships were forged with the Marine Explorers at the 2D1N conservation camp.”

“Home is where the heart is.”

Bluub: “I invited kids aged five to 12 to paint my home in a colouring contest, and the entries received proved that there are many talented artists out there. Which five garnered the most number of online votes? Feast your eyes on them here.”

“Recycling is the way to go, folks.”

Bluub: “Life always looks better with colours, and that is why I supported the Recycling for a Cause campaign. It was heartwarming to see guests drop pre-loved colour pencils into donation boxes around the resort. Here’s a big thank you!”

“Art appreciation isn’t that difficult after all.”

Bluub: “The Ocean Art Charity launch on World Oceans Day (8 June) gave me an opportunity to see some very pretty paintings. Child prodigies like Dawn Kwan make the world a more beautiful place with their works, and that’s why this programme is one worth supporting.”
